Roland Emmerich's "Midway" Released in EclairColor in China
Distributed by Bona Film Group, the Hollywood blockbuster "Midway," directed by Roland Emmerich (“The Day After Tomorrow,” “Independence Day” and “The Patriot”), is now playing in EclairColor HDR in 30 StarX theatres equipped with HDR technology within China’s Bestar cinema circuit. The integrator Great Ocean, an EclairColor-certified partner based in Beijing, was entrusted with the production of the HDR version of the film.
“Midway” centers on the Battle of Midway, a clash between the American fleet and the Imperial Japanese Navy which marked a pivotal turning point in the Pacific Theater during WWII. The film, based on the real-life events of this heroic feat, tells the story of the leaders and soldiers who used their instincts, fortitude and bravery to overcome the odds.
To date, 177 cinemas have been equipped with EclairColor HDR technology, including 16 in China, 8 in the United States, 59 in France, 56 in Germany and 7 in the United Kingdom. For a complete list of cinemas and films available in EclairColor, please visit https://www.eclaircolor.com

"Midway" is the eighth film released in EclairColor HDR in China after “The Bravest,” "Fat Buddies", "Dying to Survive", "Project Gutenberg", "Kung Fu Monster", "The Wandering Earth" and "The White Storm 2: Drug Lords".
